يَا رَحْمَةَ اللهِ زُورِي

يَا رَحْمَةَ اللهِ زُورِيوَأَنْعِمِي بِحُضُورِ

Yā raḥmata Allāhi zūrī, Waʾanʿimī biḥuḍūri

O mercy of Allah, visit us, and grace us with your presence,

وَيَمِّمِي سُوحَ قَوْمٍفِي ضَنْكِ عَيْشٍ مَرِيرِ

Wayammimī sūḥa qawmin, Fī ḍanki ʿayshin marīri

And make for the courtyards of a people in a hard and bitter life.

إِنَّا مَدَدْنَا يَدَيْنَاإِلَى الرَّحِيمِ الغَفُورِ

Innā madadnā yadaynā, Ilā ar-raḥīmi al-ghafūri

We have stretched out our hands to the Merciful, the Forgiving,

مَوْلَى المَوَالِي تَعَالَىلَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْ نَظِيرِ

Mawlā al-mawālī taʿālā, Laysa lahu min naẓīri

Master of masters, exalted is He, who has no equal,

وَلَا لَهُ مِنْ شَرِيكٍفِي مُلْكِهِ أَوْ ظَهِيرِ

Walā lahu min sharīkin, Fī mulkihi aw ẓahīri

And no partner in His dominion, nor any helper.

حَاشَاهُ حَاشَاهُ عَمَّايَقُولُ كُلُّ كَفُورِ

Ḥāshāhu ḥāshāhu ʿammā, Yaqūlu kullu kafūri

Far, far is He above what every ungrateful one says.

سُبْحَانَهُ مِنْ مَلِيكٍوَمِنْ عَلِيمٍ قَدِيرِ

Subḥānahu min malīkin, Wamin ʿalīmin qadīri

Glory be to Him, the King, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful,

وَمِنْ عَلِيٍّ كَبِيرٍوَمِنْ سَمِيعٍ بَصِيرِ

Wamin ʿaliyyin kabīrin, Wamin samīʿin baṣīri

The High, the Great, the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing,

وَمِنْ غَنِيٍّ حَمِيدٍوَمِنْ وَلِيٍّ نَصِيرِ

Wamin ghaniyyin ḥamīdin, Wamin waliyyin naṣīri

The Rich, the Praiseworthy, the Protector, the Helper.

نَحْمَدُهُ نَشْكُرُهُ نُثْنِيعَلَيْهِ طُولَ الدُّهُورِ

Naḥmaduhu nashkuruhu nuthnī, ʿalayhi ṭūla ad-duhūri

We praise Him, thank Him and extol Him throughout the ages.

نَرْجُوهُ نَسْأَلُ مِنْهُتَيْسِيرَ كُلِّ عَسِيرِ

Narjūhu nasʾalu minhu, Taysīra kulli ʿasīri

We hope in Him and ask of Him the easing of every hardship,

وَكَشْفَ كُلِّ مُهِمٍّوَجَبْرَ كُلِّ كَسِيرِ

Wakashfa kulli muhimmin, Wajabra kulli kasīri

The lifting of every concern, the mending of every broken one,

وَالعَفْوَ عَنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍمَعَ صَلَاحِ الأُمُورِ

Wa-al-ʿafwa ʿan kulli dhanbin, Maʿa ṣalāḥi al-ʾumūri

Pardon for every sin, with the setting right of all affairs,

وَأَنْ يُدِيلَ وَيُبْدِلْغُمُومَنَا بِالسُّرُورِ

Waʾan yudīla wayubdil, Ghumūmanā bi-as-surūri

And that He turn and replace our griefs with joy,

وَأَنْ يُزِيحَ كُرُوباًقَدْ خَيَّمَتْ فِي الصُّدُورِ

Waʾan yuzīḥa kurūban, Qad khayyamat fī aṣ-ṣudūri

And remove the distress that has encamped in our breasts,

وَيَرْفَعَ القَحْطَ عَنَّاوَالظُّلْمَ مَعَ كُلِّ زُورِ

Wayarfaʿa al-qaḥṭa ʿannā, Wa-aẓ-ẓulma maʿa kulli zūri

And lift the drought from us, and injustice with every falsehood,

وَكُلَّ أَمْرٍ مَهُولٍوَفِتْنَةٍ وَشُرُورِ

Wakulla amrin mahūlin, Wafitnatin washurūri

And every terrifying matter, every trial and every evil.

فَيَا مُغِيثُ أَغِثْنَاقَبْلَ القُنُوطِ المُبِيرِ

Fayā mughīthu aghithnā, Qabla al-qunūṭi al-mubīri

O Helper, help us before ruinous despair!

وَارْحَمْ شُيُوخاً ضِعَافاًوَصِبْيَةً فِي الحُجُورِ

Warḥam shuyūkhan ḍiʿāfan, Waṣibyatan fī al-ḥujūri

Have mercy on weak old men and children in their mothers' laps,

وَارْحَمْ بَهَائِمَ عُجْفاًأَوْدَتْ بِجَدْبٍ مُضِيرِ

Warḥam bahāʾima ʿujfan, Awdat bijadbin muḍīri

And have mercy on emaciated beasts ruined by a harmful drought.

رَبِّ اسْقِنَا رَبِّ جُدْنَابِكُلِّ جَوْدٍ غَزِيرِ

Rabbi sqinā rabbi judnā, Bikulli jawdin ghazīri

Lord, give us rain; Lord, be generous to us with every abundant downpour,

يُضْحِي بِهِ كُلُّ وَادٍيَجْرِي بِمَاءٍ نَمِيرِ

Yuḍḥī bihi kullu wādin, Yajrī bimāʾin namīri

That every valley may run with fresh, sweet water,

وَتُصْبِحُ الأَرْضُ تَزْهُوبِكُلِّ نَبْتٍ نَضِيرِ

Watuṣbiḥu al-ʾarḍu tazhū, Bikulli nabtin naḍīri

And the earth may bloom with every flourishing plant,

مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ وَنَوْعٍمِنْ رَائِقٍ وَكَثِيرِ

Min kulli zawjin wanawʿin, Min rāʾiqin wakathīri

Of every pair and kind, lovely and abundant,

وَيُمْسِيَ الكُلُّ مِنَّافِي نِعْمَةٍ وَحُبُورِ

Wayumsiya al-kullu minnā, Fī niʿmatin waḥubūri

And all of us may spend the evening in blessing and happiness,

وَكُلُّ قَلْبٍ مُرَاحاًوَكُلُّ طَرْفٍ قَرِيرِ

Wakullu qalbin murāḥan, Wakullu ṭarfin qarīri

Every heart at rest and every eye delighted.

وَاجْعَلْ إِلَهِيَ هَذَاعَوْناً عَلَى كُلِّ خَيْرِ

Wajʿal ilahiya hadhā, ʿawnan ʿalā kulli khayri

Make this, my God, a help toward every good,

وَطَاعَةً وَصَلَاحاًذُخْراً لِيَوْمِ النُّشُورِ

Waṭāʿatan waṣalāḥan, Dhukhran liyawmi an-nushūri

Toward obedience and righteousness, a treasure for the Day of Rising,

وَقُوَّةً وَبَلَاغاًلَنَا لِحُسْنِ المَصِيرِ

Waquwwatan wabalāghan, Lanā liḥusni al-maṣīri

Strength and sufficiency for us toward a good end,

وَلِلنُّزُولِ بِدَارٍطَابَتْ لِكُلِّ صَبُورِ

Walilnnuzūli bidārin, Ṭābat likulli ṣabūri

And toward alighting in an abode made sweet for every patient one,

وَكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُنِيبٍوَكُلِّ بَرٍّ شَكُورِ

Wakulli ʿabdin munībin, Wakulli barrin shakūri

Every servant who turns to Him, every righteous one who is grateful:

دَارِ النَّعِيمِ وَدَارِ الْخُلُودِ دَارِ السُّرُورِ

Dāri an-naʿīmi wadāri al-, Khulūdi dāri as-surūri

The abode of bliss, the abode of Eternity, the abode of joy;

وَسُلَّماً وَسَبِيلاًإِلَى اللِّقَاءِ الخَطِيرِ

Wasullaman wasabīlan, Ilā al-liqāʾi al-khaṭīri

A ladder and a path to the momentous meeting,

لِقَاءِ رَبٍّ كَرِيمٍفَرْدٍ لَطِيفٍ خَبِيرِ

Liqāʾi rabbin karīmin, Fardin laṭīfin khabīri

The meeting with a Generous Lord, Unique, Subtle, All-Aware;

وَجَنَّةٍ وَنَجَاةٍمِنْ حَرِّ نَارِ السَّعِيرِ

Wajannatin wanajātin, Min ḥarri nāri as-saʿīri

And a Garden, and salvation from the heat of the blazing Fire.

يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبْ أَجِرْنَافَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ مُجِيرِ

Yā rabbi yā rab ajirnā, Faʾanta khayru mujīri

O Lord, O Lord, protect us, for You are the best Protector.

يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ عَطْفاًعَلَى الضَّعِيفِ الفَقِيرِ

Yā rabbi yā rabbi ʿaṭfan, ʿalā aḍ-ḍaʿīfi al-faqīri

O Lord, O Lord, kindness to the weak and poor one!

يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ صَفْحاًعَنِ الذَّلِيلِ الحَقِيرِ

Yā rabbi yā rabbi ṣafḥan, ʿani adh-dhalīli al-ḥaqīri

O Lord, O Lord, forgiveness for the lowly and contemptible one!

يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ عَفْواًعَنِ الذَّمِيمِ الصَّغِيرِ

Yā rabbi yā rabbi ʿafwan, ʿani adh-dhamīmi aṣ-ṣaghīri

O Lord, O Lord, pardon for the blameworthy and small one!

يَا رَبِّ وَاخْتِمْ بِخَيْرٍإِنْ حَانَ حِينُ المَسِيرِ

Yā rabbi wakhtim bikhayrin, In ḥāna ḥīnu al-masīri

O Lord, seal our lives with good when the time of the journey comes.

إِلَى القُبُورِ سَلَامٌمِنَّا عَلَى أَهْلِ القُبُورِ

Ilā al-qubūri salāmun, Minnā ʿalā ahli al-qubūri

To the graves, peace from us upon the people of the graves.

ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى أَحْمَدْعَلَى السِّرَاجِ المُنِيرِ

Thumma aṣ-ṣalātu ʿalā aḥmad, ʿalā as-sirāji al-munīri

Then blessings upon Ahmad, upon the illuminating lamp,

عَلَى الصَّفِيِّ المُصَفَّىعَلَى البَشِيرِ النَّذِيرِ

ʿalā aṣ-ṣafiyyi al-muṣaffā, ʿalā al-bashīri an-nadhīri

Upon the chosen, the purified, upon the bearer of glad tidings and warning,

مَنْ جَاءَنَا بِكِتَابٍيُتْلَى وَذِكْرٍ وَنُورِ

Man jāʾanā bikitābin, Yutlā wadhikrin wanūri

Who brought us a Book that is recited, a reminder and a light,

وَخَصَّهُ الرَّبُّ الأَعْلَىمِنْهُ بِفَضْلٍ كَبِيرِ

Wakhaṣṣahu ar-rabbu al-ʾaʿlā, Minhu bifaḍlin kabīri

And whom the Lord Most High singled out for great favour.

صَلَاةُ ذِي العَرْشِ تَتْرَىعَلَيْهِ طُولَ العُصُورِ

Ṣalātu dhī al-ʿarshi tatrā, ʿalayhi ṭūla al-ʿuṣūri

May the blessings of the Lord of the Throne follow one upon another upon him throughout the ages,

مَا سَارَتِ الرِّيحُ تَجْرِيأَمَامَ غَيْثٍ مَطِيرِ

Mā sārati ar-rīḥu tajrī, Amāma ghaythin maṭīri

As long as the wind blows, running ahead of abundant rain.
