بِإِحْيَاءِ عُلُومِ الدِّينِ تَحْيَا قُلُوبُنَا

بِإِحْيَاءِ عُلُومِ الدِّينِ تَحْيَا قُلُوبُنَاوَيُكَشَّفُ عَنَّا غَمُّنَا وَكُرُوبُنَا

Biʾiḥyāʾi ʿulūmi ad-dīni taḥyā qulūbunā, Wayukashshafu ʿannā ghammunā wakurūbunā

Through the Revival of the Religious Sciences our hearts come alive, and our grief and distress are lifted from us.

كِتَابٌ حَوَى الْعِلْمَ الَّذِي هُوَ نَافِعٌمُؤَلِّفُهُ أُسْتَاذُنَا وَطَبِيبُنَا

Kitābun ḥawā al-ʿilma al-ladhī huwa nāfiʿun, Muʾallifuhu ustādhunā waṭabībunā

A book that contains beneficial knowledge; its author is our teacher and our physician.

كِتَابٌ حَوَى عِلْمَ الْكِتَابِ وَسُنَّةٍوَمَا قَالَهُ أَوَّاهُنَا وَمُنِيبُنَا

Kitābun ḥawā ʿilma al-kitābi wasunnatin, Wamā qālahu awwāhunā wamunībunā

A book that contains the knowledge of the Book and the Sunna, and what our tender-hearted and penitent ones have said.

مَوَارِيثُ أَسْلَافِنَا لَنَا وَأَئِمَّةٍمَضَوْا وَعَلَى آثَارِهِمْ مُسْتَجِيبُنَا

Mawārīthu aslāfinā lanā waʾaʾimmatin, Maḍaw waʿalā ʾāthārihim mustajībunā

The inheritance of our forebears and of imams who have passed, in whose footsteps our responsive ones follow.

إِذَا نُشِرَتْ أَعْلَامُهُ وَعُلُومُهُوَأَبْصَرَهَا عَلَّامُنَا وَمُصِيبُنَا

Idhā nushirat aʿlāmuhu waʿulūmuhu, Waʾabṣarahā ʿallāmunā wamuṣībunā

When its banners and its sciences are spread out, and our learned and sound scholars behold them,

تَحَقَّقَ أَنَّ الْعِلْمَ فِيهِ بِأَسْرِهِوَلَمْ يَسْتَرِبْ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا أَرِيبُنَا

Taḥaqqaqa anna al-ʿilma fīhi biʾasrihi, Walam yastarib fī mithli hadhā arībunā

They realise that all knowledge is in it, and our discerning one has no doubt about this.

وَقَدْ أَطْنَبَ الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ بِوَصْفِهِأَبُو الْمَكْرُمَاتِ الْعَيْدَرُوسُ حَبِيبُنَا

Waqad aṭnaba ash-shaykhu al-ʾimāmu biwaṣfihi, Abū al-makrumāti al-ʿaydarūsu ḥabībunā

The shaykh and imam praised it at length, Abu al-Makrumat al-'Aydarus, our beloved,

وَكَمْ غَيْرِهِ مِنْ عَارِفٍ وَمُحَقِّقٍوَحَبْرٍ عَلِيمٍ وَالْإِلَٰهُ حَسِيبُنَا

Wakam ghayrihi min ʿārifin wamuḥaqqiqin, Waḥabrin ʿalīmin wa-al-ʾilāhu ḥasībunā

And how many others, gnostics and verifiers, and learned scholars; and God is our Reckoner.

وَتَمَّتْ وَصَلَّى اللهُ فِي كُلِّ سَاعَةٍعَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى الْهَادِي شَفِيعِ ذُنُوبِنَا

Watammat waṣallā Allāhu fī kulli sāʿatin, ʿalā al-muṣṭafā al-hādī shafīʿi dhunūbinā

It is complete; and may Allah send blessings at every hour upon the Chosen One, the guide, intercessor for our sins.
