Ya Wahiba al-Insani Asbaba al-Huda

Yā wāhiba al-ʾinsāni asbāba al-hudā, Yā man biḥamdi al-ʿālamīna tafarradā

O You who grant mankind the means of guidance, O You who alone are worthy of the praise of all the worlds,

Lī ʿinda bābika yā ilahī daʿwatun, Fīhā rajāʾu al-ʿumri jāʾa mujassadā

I have at Your door, my God, a prayer in which the hope of a lifetime has come embodied.

Anta al-ladhī mā khāba ʿindaka sāʾilun, Ayakūnu bābuka dūna suʾlī muʾṣadā

You are the One with whom no asker is ever disappointed; would Your door be closed to my request?

Fabifaḍlika Allāhumma ʿishtu muwaḥḥidā, Ayuraddu ʿindaka man atāka muwaḥḥidā

By Your grace, O Allah, I have lived affirming Your Oneness; would one who comes to You affirming Your Oneness be turned away?

My request, like Your Essence, is one; so by its right, let me behold Ahmad, if only for a moment.
