يَا سَيِّدَ الرُّسْلِ غَارَة

الله الله يَا الله الله الله يَا اللهيَا رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى المُخْتَارِ خَيْرِ العَبِيدْ

Allāh Allāh yā Allāh Allāh Allāh yā Allāh, Yā rabbi ṣalli ʿalā al-mukhtāri khayri al-ʿabīd

Allah, Allah, O Allah, Allah, Allah, O Allah, O Lord, bless the Chosen One, the best of servants.

يَا سَيِّدَ الرُّسْلِ غَارَةْ لِأَقَلِّ العَبِيدْبِوَصْلِ مَحْبُوبِ قَلْبِي يَنْطَفِي ذَا الوَقِيدْ

Yā sayyida ar-rusli ghāra liʾaqalli al-ʿabīd, Biwaṣli maḥbūbi qalbī yanṭafī dhā al-waqīd

O master of the messengers, a rescue for the least of servants! Through union with my heart's beloved this blaze will be quenched.

قَدْ يَجْمَعُ اللهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ الأَيَاسِ البَعِيدْوَكَيْفَ آيِسْ وَهُوْ قَادِرْ عَلَى مَا يُرِيدْ

Qad yajmaʿu Allāhu min baʿdi al-ʾayāsi al-baʿīd, Wakayfa ʾāyis wahuw qādir ʿalā mā yurīd

Allah may reunite after far-reaching despair; how can I despair when He has power over whatever He wills?

نَذَرْتُ شَافْعَلْ إِذَا شَاهَدْتُ عَيْدِيدَ عِيدْيَا وَادِيَ الغِيدِ ذِي مَا مِثْلُهُمْ قَطُّ غِيدْ

Nadhartu shāfʿal idhā shāhadtu ʿaydīda ʿīd, Yā wādiya al-ghīdi dhī mā mithluhum qaṭṭu ghīd

I vowed that I would hold a festival when I saw 'Idid, O valley of the fair, whose like none are so fair.

قُولُوا لَهُمْ مَا تَرِقُّوا لِلْغَرِيبِ الوَحِيدْمَهْلاً مِنَ البُعْدِ مَهْلاً مَا عَلَى ذَا مَزِيدْ

Qūlū lahum mā tariqqū lilgharībi al-waḥīd, Mahlan mina al-buʿdi mahlan mā ʿalā dhā mazīd

Tell them: "Will you not be tender to the lonely stranger? Gently with the distance, gently! There can be no more than this."

وَلَا بَلِي قَطّ شَوْقِي غَيْرَ دَائِمْ جَدِيدْلِعَيْدَرُوسِ المَعَالِي ثُمَّ سَعْدِ السَّعِيدْ

Walā balī qaṭṭ shawqī ghayra dāʾim jadīd, Liʿaydarūsi al-maʿālī thumma saʿdi as-saʿīd

My longing has never worn out; it is ever new, for al-'Aydarus of the heights, then Sa'd the fortunate.

كَمْ دَمَّرُوا لِي أَعَادِي رُبَّ ظَالِمْ عَنِيدْوَأَنَا بِهِمْ إِنْ قَصَرْ جَهْدِي فِي النَّاسِ جِيدْ

Kam dammarū lī aʿādī rubba ẓālim ʿanīd, Waʾanā bihim in qaṣar jahdī fī an-nāsi jīd

How many of my enemies they have destroyed, many a stubborn oppressor! And through them, if my effort falls short among people, I am well.

وَكُلُّ عَامٍ يَقُولُوا هَانْ وَأَنَا أَزِيدْبِعَوْنِ رَبِّي وَأَخْتِمْ بِالوَلِيِّ الحَمِيدْ

Wakullu ʿāmin yaqūlū hān waʾanā azīd, Biʿawni rabbī waʾakhtim bi-al-waliyyi al-ḥamīd

Every year they say, "It has eased," yet I only increase, by my Lord's help; and I will close with the Protector, the Praiseworthy.

صَلُّوا عَلَى أَحْمَدْ وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى أَحْمَدْ يُفِيدْ

Ṣallū ʿalā aḥmad waman ṣallā ʿalā aḥmad yufīd

Send blessings on Ahmad, for whoever blesses Ahmad gains.
