Ya Nura al-Ayn

Yā nuwra al-ʿayni, Yā ṭaha az-zayn

O light of the eye, O Taha, the fair one!

Yasʿad man zār, Rawḍa al-mukhtār

Happy is whoever visits the garden of the Chosen One,

Wakhtāra dāra al-hādiy dār, Fiy jiwāri al-ʿadnāniy

And chooses the home of the guide as his home, near the man of 'Adnan.

Anta al-maḥbuwb, Anta al-maṭluwbi

You are the beloved, you are the one sought,

Anta al-muqarrab ʿinda Allāh, Yā ḥabiyba ar-raḥmani

You are the one brought near to Allah, O beloved of the Most Merciful.

Shidta al-ʾislām, ʿibta al-ʾaṣnām

You built up Islam, you condemned the idols,

Ballaghta al-ʾumma sharʿa Allāh, Yā faṣiyḥa al-lisāni

You conveyed to the nation the law of Allah, O you of eloquent tongue.

Yā abā ibrāhiym, Yā dawā as-saqiym

O father of Ibrahim, O cure of the sick,

Dāwi saqamanā ḥabiyba Allāh, Yā ṭabiyba al-ʾakwāni

Cure our sickness, O beloved of Allah, O physician of all creation.

Ṣallā al-ʾilah, ʿalā al-ʾawwāh

May God send blessings upon the tender-hearted one,

Muḥammad bni ʿabdi Allāh, Mā lāḥati al-ʾakwānu

Muhammad son of 'Abd Allah, as long as creation shines.
