Ya Muhammad Laka al-Liwa wa-t-Taj

Yā muḥammad laka al-liwā wa-at-tāj, Yā rafīʿa al-janāb

O Muhammad, yours are the banner and the crown, O you of lofty station.

Anta khūṭibta laylata al-ʾisrāʾ, Wasamiʿta al-khiṭāb

You were addressed on the night of the Night Journey, and you heard the address.

Waʾuʿṭīta ash-shafāʿata al-ʿuẓmā, Fī nahāri al-ḥisāb

And you were given the greatest intercession on the Day of Reckoning.

Kun shafīʿī yā man buʿith raḥma, Raḥma lilʿālamīn

Be my intercessor, O you who were sent as a mercy, a mercy to all the worlds.
