يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ فَرِّجْ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِين

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينْيَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينْ

Yā arḥama ar-rāḥimīn, Yā arḥama ar-rāḥimīn

O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

يَا رَبَّنَا يَا كَرِيمْيَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَحِيمْ

Yā rabbanā yā karīm, Yā rabbanā yā raḥīm

O our Lord, O Generous, O our Lord, O Merciful,

أَنْتَ الْجَوَادُ الحَلِيمْوَأَنْتَ نِعْمَ الْمُعِينْ

Anta al-jawādu al-ḥalīm, Waʾanta niʿma al-muʿīn

You are the Generous, the Forbearing, and You are the best of helpers.

وَلَيْسَ نَرْجُو سِوَاكْفَادْرِكْ إِلَهِي دَرَاكْ

Walaysa narjū siwāk, Fadrik ilahī darāk

We hope in none but You, so rescue us, my God, rescue us,

قَبْلَ الْفَنَا وَالْهَلَاكْيَعُمُّ دُنْيَا وَدِينْ

Qabla al-fanā wa-al-halāk, Yaʿummu dunyā wadīn

Before the ruin and destruction that would engulf both world and religion.

وَمَا لَنَا رَبَّنَاسِوَاكَ يَا حَسْبَنَا

Wamā lanā rabbanā, Siwāka yā ḥasbanā

We have none, our Lord, but You, O our sufficiency,

يَا ذَا الْعُلَا وَالْغِنَاوَيَا قَوِيْ يَا مَتِينْ

Yā dhā al-ʿulā wa-al-ghinā, Wayā qawiy yā matīn

O Possessor of loftiness and riches, O Strong, O Firm.

نَسْأَلُكْ وَالِي يُقِيمْاَلْعَدْلَ كَيْ نَسْتَقِيمْ

Nasʾaluk wālī yuqīm, Al-ʿadla kay nastaqīm

We ask You for a ruler who will uphold justice, so that we may be upright

عَلَى هُدَاكَ الْقَوِيمْوَلَا نُطِيعُ اللَّعِينْ

ʿalā hudāka al-qawīm, Walā nuṭīʿu al-laʿīn

Upon Your straight guidance, and not obey the accursed one.

يَا رَبَّنَا يَا مُجِيبْأَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْقَرِيبْ

Yā rabbanā yā mujīb, Anta as-samīʿu al-qarīb

O our Lord, O Answerer, You are the All-Hearing, the Near.

ضَاقَ الْوَسِيعُ الرَّحِيبْفَانْظُرْ إِلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينْ

Ḍāqa al-wasīʿu ar-raḥīb, Fanẓur ilā al-muʾminīn

The vast and spacious earth has grown narrow; so look upon the believers

نَظْرَهْ تُزِيلُ الْعَنَاعَنَّا وَتُدْنِي الْمُنَى

Naẓrah tuzīlu al-ʿanā, ʿannā watudnī al-munā

With a glance that removes hardship from us and brings near our hopes,

مِنَّا وَكُلَّ الْهَنَانُعْطَاهُ فِي كُلِّ حِينْ

Minnā wakulla al-hanā, Nuʿṭāhu fī kulli ḥīn

And every joy, given to us at every moment.

سَالَكْ بِجَاهِ الجُدُودْوَالِي يُقِيمُ الْحُدُودْ

Sālak bijāhi al-judūd, Wālī yuqīmu al-ḥudūd

I ask You, by the rank of our forefathers, for a ruler who will establish the limits

عَنَّا وَيَكْفِي الْحَسُودْوَيَدْفَعُ الظَّالِمِينْ

ʿannā wayakfī al-ḥasūd, Wayadfaʿu aẓ-ẓālimīn

Among us, and repel the envious, and drive back the oppressors,

يُزِيلُ لِلْمُنْكَرَاتْيُقِيمُ لِلصَّلَوَاتْ

Yuzīlu lilmunkarāt, Yuqīmu lilṣṣalawāt

Removing what is reprehensible, establishing the prayers,

يَأْمُرُ بِالصَّالِحَاتْمُحِبٌّ لِلصَّالِحِينْ

Yaʾmuru bi-aṣ-ṣāliḥāt, Muḥibbun lilṣṣāliḥīn

Commanding righteous deeds, loving the righteous,

يُزِيحُ كُلَّ الحَرَامْيَقْهَرُ كُلَّ الطَّغَامْ

Yuzīḥu kulla al-ḥarām, Yaqharu kulla aṭ-ṭaghām

Abolishing everything forbidden, subduing every rabble,

يَعْدِلُ بَيْنَ الْأَنَامْوَيُؤْمِنُ الْخَائِفِينْ

Yaʿdilu bayna al-ʾanām, Wayuʾminu al-khāʾifīn

Just among the people, giving safety to the fearful.

رَبِّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثَ عَامْنَافِعْ مُبَارَكْ دَوَامْ

Rabbi sqinā ghaytha ʿām, Nāfiʿ mubārak dawām

Lord, give us rain for the whole year, beneficial, blessed and lasting,

يَدُومُ فِي كُلِّ عَامْعَلَى مَمَرِّ السِّنِينْ

Yadūmu fī kulli ʿām, ʿalā mamarri as-sinīn

Continuing every year through the passing of the years.

رَبِّ احْيِنَا شَاكِرِينْوَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينْ

Rabbi ḥyinā shākirīn, Watawaffanā muslimīn

Lord, let us live grateful, and take us as Muslims,

نُبْعَثْ مِنَ الْآمِنِينْفِي زُمْرَةِ السَّابِقِينْ

Nubʿath mina al-ʾāminīn, Fī zumrati as-sābiqīn

To be raised among the secure, in the company of the foremost.

بِجَاهِ طَهَ الرَّسُولْجُدْ رَبَّنَا بِالْقَبُولْ

Bijāhi ṭaha ar-rasūl, Jud rabbanā bi-al-qabūl

By the rank of Taha the Messenger, grant us acceptance, our Lord,

وَهَبْ لَنَا كُلَّ سُولْرَبِّ اسْتَجِبْ لِي آمِينْ

Wahab lanā kulla sūl, Rabbi stajib lī ʾāmīn

And give us every request; Lord, answer me. Amen.

عَطَاكَ رَبِّي جَزِيلْوَكُلُّ فِعْلِكْ جَمِيلْ

ʿaṭāka rabbī jazīl, Wakullu fiʿlik jamīl

Your gifts, my Lord, are abundant, and all Your deeds are beautiful,

وَفِيكَ أَمَلْنَا طَوِيلْفَجُدْ عَلَى الطَّامِعِينْ

Wafīka amalnā ṭawīl, Fajud ʿalā aṭ-ṭāmiʿīn

And our hope in You is long; so be generous to those who hope.

يَارَبِّ ضَاقَ الْخِنَاقْمِنْ فِعْلِ مَا لَا يُطَاقْ

Yārabbi ḍāqa al-khināq, Min fiʿli mā lā yuṭāq

O Lord, the noose has tightened from deeds beyond endurance;

فَامْنُنْ بِفَكِّ الْغَلَاقْلِمَنْ بِذَنْبِهِ رَهِينْ

Famnun bifakki al-ghalāq, Liman bidhanbihi rahīn

So grant the unlocking of what is locked for one held in pledge by his sin.

وَاغْفِرْ لِكُلِّ الذُّنُوبْوَاسْتُرْ لِكُلِّ الْعُيُوبْ

Waghfir likulli adh-dhunūb, Wastur likulli al-ʿuyūb

Forgive all sins, cover all faults,

وَاكْشِفْ لِكُلِّ الْكُرُوبْوَاكْفِ أَذَى الْمُؤْذِيِينْ

Wakshif likulli al-kurūb, Wakfi adhā al-muʾdhiyīn

Lift all griefs, and repel the harm of those who harm.

وَاخْتِمْ بِأَحْسَنْ خِتَامْإِذَا دَنَا الِانْصِرَامْ

Wakhtim biʾaḥsan khitām, Idhā danā al-ānṣirām

Seal our lives with the best seal when the end draws near,

وَحَانَ حِينُ الْحِمَامْوَزَادَ رَشْحُ الْجَبِينْ

Waḥāna ḥīnu al-ḥimām, Wazāda rashḥu al-jabīn

And the hour of death arrives, and the sweat of the brow increases.

ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةْ وَالسَّلَامْعَلَى شَفِيْعِ الْأَنَامْ

Thumma aṣ-ṣalāa wa-as-salām, ʿalā shafiyʿi al-ʾanām

Then blessings and peace upon the intercessor of mankind,

وَالْآلِ نِعْمَ الْكِرَامْوَالصَّحْبِ وَالتَّابِعِينْ

Wa-al-ʾāli niʿma al-kirām, Wa-aṣ-ṣaḥbi wa-at-tābiʿīn

And upon his family, the most noble, and the Companions and the Followers.
