Ya Al Ba'alawi Shafa'a

Yā ʾāl bāʿalawī shafāʿa kullu kurba tanjalī, Wabikum yā ahla al-wilāya kullu ḥāja tanqaḍī

O family of Ba 'Alawi, intercession! Every grief is lifted, and through you, O people of sainthood, every need is fulfilled.

Yā faqīhu yā muqaddam yā muḥammad bin ʿalī, Yā wajīhu yā mukarram ʿanda mawlāka al-ʿalī

O Faqih, O Muqaddam, O Muhammad ibn 'Ali, O eminent one, honoured with your Master, the High,

Anta waʾawlādak waṣaḥbak ʿindakum kam min walī, Naṭlubu as-saqqāfa ghāra dhāka lī baḥruh malī

You and your sons and your companions: how many saints are with you! We seek a rescue from al-Saqqaf, whose ocean is full,

Wabnuhu al-miḥḍār yaḥḍur wa-al-muhaddar bū ʿalī, Waʾin dhakarta al-ʿaydarūs kulla kurba tanjalī

And his son al-Mihdar comes, and al-Muhaddar Abu 'Ali; and if you mention al-'Aydarus, every grief is lifted.

Ghāratan yā al-ʿaydarūs fī al-ʿajal lā tamhali, Yā kabīra aṣ-ṣūfiyya ʿandaka al-marʿā falī

A rescue, O 'Aydarus, quickly, do not delay, O great one of the Sufis; with you is the pasture, so let it be mine.

Wabna sālim wa-al-ḥusayn dhū al-maqāmi al-muʿtalī, ʾāla ʿalawī kullukum sāʿidūnī yā ahlī

And Ibn Salim and al-Husayn, of exalted station: O family of 'Alawi, all of you, help me, O my people!

ʿindakum mā anā gharīb ṣāḥiba ad-dār ahlī, Sāʿidūnī wasraʿū bi-al-ghiyāthi al-ʿājili

With you I am no stranger; the master of the house is my family; help me, and hasten with swift rescue,

And seek help through the merciful Prophet, who keeps the ties, for our Master answers the prayer of the one who asks.

Yā rasūla Allāh qum yā mukhalliṣ man bulī, Anta al-ladhī turjā lahā fī al-maqāmi al-hāʾili

O Messenger of Allah, rise, O saviour of the afflicted; you are the one hoped for in the terrifying station.
