يَا أَجْمَلَ الْأَنْبِيَاء

يَا أَجْمَلَ الْأَنْبِيَاءيَا أَكْمَلَ الْأَصْفِيَاء

Yā ajmala al-ʾanbiyāʾ, Yā akmala al-ʾaṣfiyāʾ

O most beautiful of the prophets, O most perfect of the pure ones,

يَا خَاتَمَ الرُّسْلِ مَاأَحْلَاكَ فِي قَلْبِي

Yā khātama ar-rusli mā, Aḥlāka fī qalbī

O Seal of the Messengers, how sweet you are in my heart!

يَا ذَا الَّذِي نُسْخَةُالْأَكْوَانِ فِيْكَ مَطْوِيَّ

Yā dhā al-ladhī nuskhatu, Al-ʾakwāni fiyka maṭwiyya

O you in whom the copy of all creation is folded,

عَطِيَّةٌ أَزَلِيَّة

ʿaṭiyyatun azaliyya

A gift from pre-eternity.

أَنْتَ الَّذِي أُعْطِيتَالشَّفَاعَةَ الْوَافِيَّة

Anta al-ladhī uʿṭīta, Ash-shafāʿata al-wāfiyya

You are the one who was given the complete intercession,

وَالْخَلْقُ حِينَئِذٍيَلْتَمِسُونَ الْأَنْبِيَاءْ

Wa-al-khalqu ḥīnaʾidhin, Yaltamisūna al-ʾanbiyāʾ

When creation, on that Day, goes seeking the prophets.

ثُمَّ يُقَالُ لِلْأَنَامْقَدْ نِلْتُمُ الْأُمْنِيَّة

Thumma yuqālu lilʾanām, Qad niltumu al-ʾumniyya

Then it is said to mankind: "You have attained your wish.

أَلَا اقْصِدُوْا مُحَمَّدًابَابَ الْإِلَهِ الْعَالِيَ

Alā qṣiduw muḥammadan, Bāba al-ʾilahi al-ʿāliya

Go to Muhammad, the lofty door to God."

آيَاتُهُ شَافِيَة

ʾāyātuhu shāfiya

His signs are healing.

وَهُوَ الْمُعَدُّ لَهَاوَذُو الثَّنَاءِ الْوَافِيَ

Wahuwa al-muʿaddu lahā, Wadhū ath-thanāʾi al-wāfiya

He is the one prepared for it, the one whose praise is complete.

ثُمَّ يُنَادِي سَاجِدًايَا رَبِّ جُدْ رَاضِيَا

Thumma yunādī sājidan, Yā rabbi jud rāḍiyā

Then he calls out, prostrating: "O Lord, be generous and pleased."

يُنَادِي اشْفَعْ يَا حَبِيْبِيَا صَفْوَةَ الْأَصْفِيَاءْ

Yunādī shfaʿ yā ḥabiybi, Yā ṣafwata al-ʾaṣfiyāʾ

He is told: "Intercede, O beloved, O elect of the elect,

وَسَلْ تُعْطَى مَا تَرُوْموَلَا تَدَعْ عَاصِيَا

Wasal tuʿṭā mā taruwm, Walā tadaʿ ʿāṣiyā

And ask, you will be given what you seek, and leave no sinner behind."

يَا صَفْوَةَ الْأَصْفِيَاءْ

Yā ṣafwata al-ʾaṣfiyāʾ

O elect of the elect!

صَلُّوْا عَلَى مَنْ عَلَافَوْقَ السَّمَا رَاقِيَا

Ṣalluw ʿalā man ʿalā, Fawqa as-samā rāqiyā

Send blessings on the one who rose above the heavens, ascending.

هَذَا حَبِيْبٌ غَدًاعَنَّا العَنَا مَاحِيَا

Hadhā ḥabiybun ghadan, ʿannā al-ʿanā māḥiyā

This is a beloved who tomorrow will wipe away our toil.

يَا رَبَّنَا عَطَّفْ عَلَيْنَاقَلْبَهُ الزَّاكِيَا

Yā rabbanā ʿaṭṭaf ʿalaynā, Qalbahu az-zākiyā

O our Lord, turn toward us his pure heart,

وَاخْتِمْ لَنَا خِتَامَ مِسْكٍيَا مُجِيْبَ الدَّاعِيَا

Wakhtim lanā khitāma miskin, Yā mujiyba ad-dāʿiyā

And seal our lives with a seal of musk, O Answerer of those who call,

بِالْأَسْرَارِ الذَّاتِيَّةْ

Bi-al-ʾasrāri adh-dhātiyya

By the secrets of the Essence.
