شَهْرُ الرَّبِيع وَافَانَا

شَهْرُ الرَّبِيع وَافَانَاأَقْبَلْ عَلَيْنَا وَهَنَّانَا

Shahru ar-rabīʿ wāfānā, Aqbal ʿalaynā wahannānā

The month of Rabi' has come to us; it has come to us and given us joy.

شَهْرٌ بِهِ جَاءَ الرَّسُولْالْهَاشِمِي بَابُ الْوُصُولْ

Shahrun bihi jāʾa ar-rasūl, Al-hāshimī bābu al-wuṣūl

A month in which the Messenger came, the Hashimite, the gate of arrival.

بِقُدُومِهِ نِلْنَا الْقَبُولْسُبْحَانَ مَنْ قَدْ أَعْطَانَا

Biqudūmihi nilnā al-qabūl, Subḥāna man qad aʿṭānā

With his coming we attained acceptance; glory be to the One who has given to us!

شَهْرٌ بِهِ نِلْنَا الْهُدَىٰوَبِهِ انْجَلَى عَنَّا الرَّدَى

Shahrun bihi nilnā al-hudā, Wabihi njalā ʿannā ar-radā

A month in which we attained guidance, and through it ruin was cleared from us.

بِجَمَالِهِ لَمَّا بَدَىمِنْ كُلِّ خَطْبٍ نَجَّانَا

Bijamālihi lammā badā, Min kulli khaṭbin najjānā

With his beauty, when it appeared, he saved us from every calamity.

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ يَا سَلَامْعَلَى النَّبِي مَاحِي الظَّلَامْ

Yā rabbi ṣalli yā salām, ʿalā an-nabī māḥī aẓ-ẓalām

O Lord, send blessings, O Source of Peace, upon the Prophet, effacer of darkness,

وَالْآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ الْكِرَامْمَا فِيْهِ شَادٍ غَنَّانَا

Wa-al-ʾāli wa-aṣ-ṣaḥbi al-kirām, Mā fiyhi shādin ghannānā

And upon his family and noble Companions, as long as a singer sings to us in it.
