صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ تَغْشَى أَشْرَفَ الرُّسْلِ الأَطَايِبْ

صَلَوَاتُ اللّهِ تَغْشَىأَشْرَفَ الرُّسْلِ الأَطَايِبْ

Ṣalawātu Allāhi taghshā, Ashrafa ar-rusli al-ʾaṭāyib

May the blessings of Allah envelop the noblest of the pure messengers.

أَقْبَلَ السَّعْدُ عَلَيْنَاوَالهَنَا مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبْ

Aqbala as-saʿdu ʿalaynā, Wa-al-hanā min kulli jānib

Good fortune has come to us, and joy from every side.

فَلَنَا البُشْرَى بِسَعْدٍجَاءَنَا مِنْ خَيْرِ وَاهِبْ

Falanā al-bushrā bisaʿdin, Jāʾanā min khayri wāhib

We have glad tidings of good fortune that has come to us from the best Giver.

يَا جَمَالاً قَدْ تَجَلَّىبِالمَشَارِقْ وَالمَغَارِبْ

Yā jamālan qad tajallā, Bi-al-mashāriq wa-al-maghārib

O beauty that has appeared in the East and in the West,

مَرْحَباً أَهْلاً وَسَهْلاًبِكَ يَا خَيْرَ الحَبَايِبْ

Marḥaban ahlan wasahlan, Bika yā khayra al-ḥabāyib

Welcome, welcome to you, O best of beloveds!

مَرْحَباً أَهْلاً بِشَمْسٍقَدْ مَحَتْ كُلَّ الغَيَاهِبْ

Marḥaban ahlan bishamsin, Qad maḥat kulla al-ghayāhib

Welcome to a sun that has erased all darkness!

مَرْحَباً أَهْلاً بِشَمْسٍخَفِيَتْ فِيهَا الكَوَاكِبْ

Marḥaban ahlan bishamsin, Khafiyat fīhā al-kawākib

Welcome to a sun in which the stars are hidden!

يَاشَرِيفَ الأَصْلِ لُذْنَابِكَ فِي كُلِّ النَّوَائِبْ

Yāsharīfa al-ʾaṣli ludhnā, Bika fī kulli an-nawāʾib

O you of noble origin, we take refuge in you in every misfortune.

أَنْتَ مَلْجَا كُلِّ عَاصٍأَنْتَ مَأْوَى كُلِّ تَائِبْ

Anta maljā kulli ʿāṣin, Anta maʾwā kulli tāʾib

You are the refuge of every sinner, you are the shelter of every penitent.

جِئْتَ مِنْ أَصْلٍ أَصِيلٍحَلَّ فِي أَعْلَى الذَّوَائِبْ

Jiʾta min aṣlin aṣīlin, Ḥalla fī aʿlā adh-dhawāʾib

You came from a deep-rooted origin that dwelt in the loftiest heights,

مِنْ قُصَيٍّ وَلُؤَيٍّبَاذِخِ المَجْدِ ابْنِ غَالِبْ

Min quṣayyin waluʾayyin, Bādhikhi al-majdi bni ghālib

From Qusayy and Lu'ayy, lofty in glory, son of Ghalib,

وَاعْتَلَى مَجْدُكَ فَخْراًفِي رَفِيعَاتِ المَرَاتِبْ

Waʿtalā majduka fakhran, Fī rafīʿāti al-marātib

And your glory rose in pride to the most exalted ranks.

لَا بَرِحْنَا فِي سُرُورٍبِكَ يَا عَالِي المَنَاقِبْ

Lā bariḥnā fī surūrin, Bika yā ʿālī al-manāqib

May we never cease to be in joy through you, O you of lofty virtues.

فَلَكَمْ يَوْمَ وُجُودِكْظَهَرَتْ فِينَا عَجَائِبْ

Falakam yawma wujūdik, Ẓaharat fīnā ʿajāʾib

How many wonders appeared among us on the day you came into being!

بَشَّرَتْنَا بِالعَطَايَاوَالأَمَانِي وَالرَّغَايِبْ

Bashsharatnā bi-al-ʿaṭāyā, Wa-al-ʾamānī wa-ar-raghāyib

They gave us glad tidings of gifts, wishes and desires.

قَدْ شَرِبْنَا مِنْ صَفَانَابِكَ مِنْ أَحْلَى المَشَارِبْ

Qad sharibnā min ṣafānā, Bika min aḥlā al-mashārib

We have drunk, in our purity, through you, from the sweetest springs.

فَلِرَبِّ الحَمْدُ حَمْداًجَلَّ أَنْ يُحْصِيهِ حَاسِبْ

Falirabbi al-ḥamdu ḥamdan, Jalla an yuḥṣīhi ḥāsib

To the Lord be praise, a praise too great for any counter to count,

وَلَهُ الشُّكْرُ عَلَى مَاقَدْ حَبَانَا مِنْ مَوَاهِبْ

Walahu ash-shukru ʿalā mā, Qad ḥabānā min mawāhib

And to Him be thanks for all the gifts He has granted us.

يَا كَرِيماً يَا رَحِيماًجُدْ وَعَجِّلْ بِالمَطَالِبْ

Yā karīman yā raḥīman, Jud waʿajjil bi-al-maṭālib

O Generous, O Merciful, be generous and hasten our requests.

مَنْ تَوَجَّهْ نَحْوَ بَابِكْمَا رَجَعْ مِنْ ذَاكَ خَائِبْ

Man tawajjah naḥwa bābik, Mā rajaʿ min dhāka khāʾib

Whoever turns toward Your door never returns from it disappointed.

وَاغْفِرِ اغْفِرْ ذَنْبَ عَبْدٍقَدْ أَتَى نَحْوَكَ تَائِبْ

Waghfiri ghfir dhanba ʿabdin, Qad atā naḥwaka tāʾib

And forgive, forgive the sin of a servant who has come to You repenting.
