سَعْدَنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا فَوْزُنَا فِي الأُخْرَى

سَعْدَنَا فِي الدُّنْيَافَوْزَنَا فِي الأُخْرَى

Saʿdanā fī ad-dunyā, Fawzanā fī al-ʾukhrā

Our happiness in this world, our triumph in the next!

يَا أُهَيْلَ المَعْرُوفْوَالعَطَاءِ المَأْلُوفْ

Yā uhayla al-maʿrūf, Wa-al-ʿaṭāʾi al-maʾlūf

O dear people of kindness and of familiar giving,

غَارَةً لِلْمَلْهُوفْإِنَّكُمْ بِه أَدْرَى

Ghāratan lilmalhūf, Innakum bih adrā

A rescue for the anguished, for you know it best.

يَا أُهَيْلَ المَطْلُوبْوَالعَطَاءِ المَوْهُوبْ

Yā uhayla al-maṭlūb, Wa-al-ʿaṭāʾi al-mawhūb

O dear people who are sought, and of bestowed giving,

غَارَةً لِلْمَكْرُوبْإِنَّكُمْ بِه أَدْرَى

Ghāratan lilmakrūb, Innakum bih adrā

A rescue for the distressed, for you know it best.

يَا أُهَيْلَ الإِسْعَادْوَالعَطَا وَالإِمْدَادْ

Yā uhayla al-ʾisʿād, Wa-al-ʿaṭā wa-al-ʾimdād

O dear people who bring happiness, with giving and support,

غَارَةً يَا أَسْيَادْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Ghāratan yā asyād, Innakum bī adrā

A rescue, O masters, for you know my state best.

يَا أُهَيْلَ الإِسْعَادْوَالعَطَاءْ وَالإِمْدَادْ

Yā uhayla al-ʾisʿād, Wa-al-ʿaṭāʾ wa-al-ʾimdād

O dear people who bring happiness, with giving and support,

غَارَةً يَا أَسْيَادْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Ghāratan yā asyād, Innakum bī adrā

A rescue, O masters, for you know my state best.

يَا أُهَيْلَ الإِسْعَافْوَالعَطَاءْ ذِي هُوْ وَافْ

Yā uhayla al-ʾisʿāf, Wa-al-ʿaṭāʾ dhī huw waf

O dear people of swift help, and of giving that is complete,

أَمْنَةً لِلْمُخْتَافْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Amnatan lilmukhtāf, Innakum bī adrā

Safety for the fearful, for you know my state best.

يَا أُهَيْلَ الجَاهَاتْوَالمِنَحْ لِلْفَاقَاتْ

Yā uhayla al-jāhāt, Wa-al-minaḥ lilfāqāt

O dear people of high standing, and of gifts for the needy,

وَالدَّرَكْ لِلْغَارَاتْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Wa-ad-darak lilghārāt, Innakum bī adrā

And of swift reach in rescue, for you know my state best.

يَا أُهَيْلَ الهِمَّاتْيَارِجَالَ العَزْمَاتْ

Yā uhayla al-himmāt, Yārijāla al-ʿazmāt

O dear people of aspiration, O men of resolve,

يَا جِمَالَ الحَمْلَاتْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Yā jimāla al-ḥamlāt, Innakum bī adrā

O bearers of burdens, for you know my state best.

يَا أَهْلَ بَيْتِ المُخْتَارْعَالِيِينَ المِقْدَارْ

Yā ahla bayti al-mukhtār, ʿāliyīna al-miqdār

O People of the House of the Chosen One, lofty in worth,

اِشْفَعُوا لِلْمُحْتَارْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Ishfaʿū lilmuḥtār, Innakum bī adrā

Intercede for the bewildered, for you know my state best.

يَا أَهْلَ بَيْتِ الهَادِيقُدْوَتِي وَأَسْيَادِي

Yā ahla bayti al-hādī, Qudwatī waʾasyādī

O People of the House of the guide, my exemplars and my masters,

أَجْزِلُوا لِي زَادِيإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Ajzilū lī zādī, Innakum bī adrā

Make my provision abundant, for you know my state best.

قَدْرُكُمْ رَافِعْ عَالْوَعَطَاكُمْ هَطَّالْ

Qadrukum rāfiʿ ʿāl, Waʿaṭākum haṭṭāl

Your rank is raised high, your giving pours like rain,

وَسَنَاكُمْ دَهْبَالْأَرْسِلُوا لِي نَهْرًا

Wasanākum dahbāl, Arsilū lī nahran

And your radiance is golden; send me a river.

أَنْتُمُوا خَيْرُ النَّاسْجُودُكُمْ يَشْفِي البَاسْ

Antumū khayru an-nās, Jūdukum yashfī al-bās

You are the best of people; your generosity heals hardship;

اِشْفَعُوا لِلْقَسَّاسْإِنَّكُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Ishfaʿū lilqassās, Innakum bī adrā

Intercede for this seeker, for you know my state best.

بِخَدِيجَةْ أُمِّيذِي تُجَلِّي هَمِّي

Bikhadīja ummī, Dhī tujallī hammī

By Khadija, my mother, who dispels my worry:

أَجْزِلِي لِي قِسْمِيإِنَّكِ بِي أَدْرَى

Ajzilī lī qismī, Innaki bī adrā

Make my portion abundant, for you know my state best.

وَاهْتِفِي بِالزَّهْرَاءْذِي تَعَالَتْ قَدْرًا

Wahtifī bi-az-zahrāʾ, Dhī taʿālat qadran

And call upon al-Zahra', who is exalted in rank

وَتَجَلَّتْ بَدْرًاإِنَّهَا بِي أَدْرَى

Watajallat badran, Innahā bī adrā

And shone forth as a full moon, for she knows my state best,

وَأَبِيهَا المُخْتَارْوَالمُصَاحِبْ فِي الغَارْ

Waʾabīhā al-mukhtār, Wa-al-muṣāḥib fī al-ghār

And her father, the Chosen One, and his companion in the cave,

وَعَلِيِّ الكَرَّارْإِنَّهُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Waʿaliyyi al-karrār, Innahum bī adrā

And 'Ali, who charges again and again, for they know my state best,

وَاهْلِ شِعْبِ المَعْلَاةْوَالَّتِي فِي أَعْلَاهْ

Wahli shiʿbi al-maʿlāa, Wallatī fī aʿlāh

And the people of the ravine of al-Ma'la, and the one at its top:

حَيِّ تِلْكَ المَوْلَاةْسَيِّدِتْنَا الكُبْرَى

Ḥayyi tilka al-mawlāa, Sayyiditnā al-kubrā

Greet that lady, our greatest lady.

وَبِحَقِّ السِّبْطَيْنْلِلنَّبِي نُورِ العَيْنْ

Wabiḥaqqi as-sibṭayn, Lilnnabī nūri al-ʿayn

And by the right of the two grandsons of the Prophet, light of the eye,

وَبِجَاهِ العَمَّيْنْإِنَّهُمْ بِي أَدْرَى

Wabijāhi al-ʿammayn, Innahum bī adrā

And by the rank of the two uncles, for they know my state best,

وَبِذَاتِ العِلْمَيْنْعَائِشَهْ نُونِ العِيْنْ

Wabidhāti al-ʿilmayn, ʿāʾishah nūni al-ʿiyn

And by the one of the two knowledges, 'A'isha, the very apple of the eye,

زَوْجِ خَيْرِ الكَوْنَيْنْإِنَّهَا بِي أَدْرَى

Zawji khayri al-kawnayn, Innahā bī adrā

Wife of the best of both worlds, for she knows my state best,

وَبِبَاقِي الأَزْوَاجْطَيِّبَاتِ الآرَاجْ

Wabibāqī al-ʾazwāj, Ṭayyibāti al-ʾārāj

And by the rest of the wives, of fragrant scent,

مُغْنِيَاتِ المُحْتَاجْإِنَّهُنّ بِي أَدْرَى

Mughniyāti al-muḥtāj, Innahunn bī adrā

Who enrich the needy, for they know my state best.
