قَصِيدَةُ الْحُجْرَةِ النَّبَوِيَّةِ الشَّرِيفَةِ

يَا سَيِّدِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ خُذْ بِيَدِيمَا لِي سِوَاكَ وَلَا أَلْوِي عَلَى أَحَدِ

Yā sayyidī yā rasūla Allāhi khudh biyadī, Mā lī siwāka walā alwī ʿalā aḥadi

O my master, O Messenger of Allah, take my hand; I have none but you, and I turn to no one else.

فَأَنْتَ نُورُ الْهُدَى فِي كُلِّ كَائِنَةٍوَأَنْتَ سِرُّ النَّدَى يَا خَيْرَ مُعْتَمَدِ

Faʾanta nūru al-hudā fī kulli kāʾinatin, Waʾanta sirru an-nadā yā khayra muʿtamadi

You are the light of guidance in every being, and you are the secret of generosity, O best support.

وَأَنْتَ حَقًّا غِيَاثُ الْخَلْقِ أَجْمَعِهِمْوَأَنْتَ هَادِي الْوَرَى لِلّٰهِ ذِي السَّدَدِ

Waʾanta ḥaqqan ghiyāthu al-khalqi ajmaʿihim, Waʾanta hādī al-warā lillāhi dhī as-sadadi

You are truly the rescuer of all creation, and you guide mankind to Allah, the Lord of rightness.

يَا مَنْ يَقُومُ مَقَامَ الْحَمْدِ مُنْفَرِدًالِلْوَاحِدِ الْفَرْدِ لَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَلِدِ

Yā man yaqūmu maqāma al-ḥamdi munfaridan, Lilwāḥidi al-fardi lam yūlad walam yalidi

O you who alone stand in the Station of Praise before the One, the Unique, who neither begets nor is begotten,

يَا مَنْ تَفَجَّرَتِ الْأَنْهَارُ نَابِعَةًمِنْ إِصْبَعَيْهِ فَرَوَّى الْجَيْشَ بِالْمَدَدِ

Yā man tafajjarati al-ʾanhāru nābiʿatan, Min iṣbaʿayhi farawwā al-jaysha bi-al-madadi

O you from whose fingers rivers gushed and quenched the army in abundance,

إِنِّي إِذَا سَامَنِي ضَيْمٌ يُرَوِّعُنِيأَقُولُ يَا سَيِّدَ السَّادَاتِ يَا سَنَدِي

Innī idhā sāmanī ḍaymun yurawwiʿunī, Aqūlu yā sayyida as-sādāti yā sanadī

When injustice besets me and terrifies me, I say: "O master of masters, O my support,

كُنْ لِي شَفِيعًا إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ زَلَلٍوَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِمَا لَا كَانَ فِي خَلَدِي

Kun lī shafīʿan ilā ar-raḥmani min zalalin, Wamnun ʿalayya bimā lā kāna fī khaladī

Be my intercessor with the Most Merciful for my slips, and grace me with what never crossed my mind.

وَانْظُرْ بِعَيْنِ الرِّضَا لِي دَائِمًا أَبَدًاوَاسْتُرْ بِفَضْلِكَ تَقْصِيرِي إِلَى الْأَمَدِ

Wanẓur biʿayni ar-riḍā lī dāʾiman abadan, Wastur bifaḍlika taqṣīrī ilā al-ʾamadi

Look on me always with the eye of approval, and cover my shortcomings with your grace to the end.

وَاعْطِفْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوٍ مِنْكَ يَشْمَلُنِيفَإِنَّنِي عَنْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ لَمْ أَحِدِ

Waʿṭif ʿalayya biʿafwin minka yashmalunī, Faʾinnanī ʿanka yā mawlāya lam aḥidi

Be kind to me with a pardon from you that embraces me, for I have never turned away from you, my master."

إِنِّي تَوَسَّلْتُ بِالْمُخْتَارِ أَفْضَلِ مَنْرَقَى السَّمَوَاتِ سِرِّ الْوَاحِدِ الْأَحَدِ

Innī tawassaltu bi-al-mukhtāri afḍali man, Raqā as-samawāti sirri al-wāḥidi al-ʾaḥadi

I have sought the means of the Chosen One, the best of those who ascended the heavens, the secret of the One, the Unique,

رَبُّ الْجَمَالِ تَعَالَى اللهُ خَالِقُهُفَمِثْلُهُ فِي جَمِيعِ الْخَلْقِ لَمْ أَجِدِ

Rabbu al-jamāli taʿālā Allāhu khāliquhu, Famithluhu fī jamīʿi al-khalqi lam ajidi

Lord of beauty; exalted is Allah, his Creator; I have found none like him in all creation,

خَيْرُ الْخَلَائِقِ أَعْلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ ذُرًىذُخْرُ الْأَنَامِ وَهَادِيهِمْ إِلَى الرَّشَدِ

Khayru al-khalāʾiqi aʿlā al-mursalīna dhuran, Dhukhru al-ʾanāmi wahādīhim ilā ar-rashadi

The best of creatures, loftiest of the messengers in rank, treasure of mankind and their guide to right guidance.

بِهِ الْتَجَأْتُ لَعَلَّ اللهَ يَغْفِرُ لِيهَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ فِي ظَنِّي وَمُعْتَقَدِي

Bihi at-tajaʾtu laʿalla Allāha yaghfiru lī, Hadhā al-ladhī huwa fī ẓannī wamuʿtaqadī

In him I have taken refuge, that perhaps Allah will forgive me; this is my thought and my belief.

فَمَدْحُهُ لَمْ يَزَلْ دَأْبِي مَدَى عُمُرِيوَحُبُّهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ مُسْتَنَدِي

Famadḥuhu lam yazal daʾbī madā ʿumurī, Waḥubbuhu ʿinda rabbi al-ʿarshi mustanadī

Praising him has always been my habit all my life; through him I rely on the Lord of the Throne.

عَلَيْهِ أَزْكَى صَلَاةٍ لَمْ تَزَلْ أَبَدًامَعَ السَّلَامِ بِلَا حَصْرٍ وَلَا عَدَدِ

ʿalayhi azkā ṣalātin lam tazal abadan, Maʿa as-salāmi bilā ḥaṣrin walā ʿadadi

Upon him be the purest blessings, unending forever, with peace, without limit or number,

وَالْآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ أَهْلِ الْمَجْدِ قَاطِبَةًوَتَابِعِيهِمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ إِلَى الْأَبَدِ

Wa-al-ʾāli wa-aṣ-ṣaḥbi ahli al-majdi qāṭibatan, Watābiʿīhim biʾiḥsānin ilā al-ʾabadi

And upon the family and Companions, all the people of glory, and those who follow them in excellence forever.
