مَا مَدَّ لِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ يَدَا

الله الله الله الله الله اللهلَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهْ

Allāh Allāh Allāh Allāh Allāh Allāh, Lā ilāha illā Allāh

Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah: there is no god but Allah.

مَا مَدَّ لِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ يَدَاأَحَدٌ إِلَّا وَبِهِ سَعِدَا

Mā madda likhayri al-khalqi yadā, Aḥadun illā wabihi saʿidā

No one has ever stretched out a hand to the best of creation but he found happiness through him.

فَلِذَاكَ مَدَدْتُ إِلَيْهِ يَدِيوَبِذَلِكَ كُنْتُ مِنَ السُّعَدَا

Falidhāka madadtu ilayhi yadī, Wabidhalika kuntu mina as-suʿadā

That is why I stretched out my hand to him, and thereby I became one of the happy.

بَابٌ لِلَّهِ سَمَا وَعَلَاشَرَفاً وَامْتَازَ بِكُلِّ عُلَا

Bābun lillāhi samā waʿalā, Sharafan wamtāza bikulli ʿulā

A door to Allah, exalted and high in honour, distinguished by every eminence.

وَالْكُلُّ بِدَعْوَتِهِ اتَّصَلَابِاللهِ وَحَازَ بِهِ الْمَدَدَا

Wa-al-kullu bidaʿwatihi ttaṣalā, Billāhi waḥāza bihi al-madadā

Through his call all were joined to Allah, and gained help through him.

إِنِّي فِي الْعُسْرِ وَفِي الْيُسْرِبِحِمَاهُ أَلُوذُ مَدَى الْعُمْرِ

Innī fī al-ʿusri wafī al-yusri, Biḥimāhu alūdhu madā al-ʿumri

In hardship and in ease I take refuge in his sanctuary all my life,

وَأَقُولُ أَغِثْنِي يَا ذُخْرِيوَأَنِلْنِي مِنْ كَفَّيْكَ نَدَا

Waʾaqūlu aghithnī yā dhukhrī, Waʾanilnī min kaffayka nadā

And I say: "Help me, O my treasure, and grant me generosity from your hands."

وَعَلَيْنَا تَعَطَّفْ يَا أَمَلِيبِشِفَاءِ الْقَلْبِ مِنَ الْعِلَلِ

Waʿalaynā taʿaṭṭaf yā amalī, Bishifāʾi al-qalbi mina al-ʿilali

Be kind to us, O my hope, by healing the heart of its illnesses.

أَيَكُونُ مُحِبُّكَ فِي وَجَلٍوَبِجَاهِكَ لَا أَخْشَى أَحَدَا

Ayakūnu muḥibbuka fī wajalin, Wabijāhika lā akhshā aḥadā

Should one who loves you be in fear, when through your rank I fear no one?

لَا أَرْجُو غَيْرَكَ إِنْ جَارَادَهْرِي وَعَدِمْتُ الْأَنْصَارَا

Lā arjū ghayraka in jārā, Dahrī waʿadimtu al-ʾanṣārā

I hope in none but you if my time turns against me and I lose all helpers.

بِحَيَاتِكَ أَلْقِ الأَنْظَارَاكَرَماً يَا أَفْضَلَ مَنْ سَجَدَا

Biḥayātika alqi al-ʾanẓārā, Karaman yā afḍala man sajadā

By your life, cast your glances in generosity, O best of all who prostrated!

أَنْتَ الْمُخْتَارُ مِنَ القِدَمِيَا خَيْرَ شَفِيعٍ فِي الأُمَمِ

Anta al-mukhtāru mina al-qidami, Yā khayra shafīʿin fī al-ʾumami

You are the Chosen One from of old, O best intercessor among the nations,

وَبِنُورِكَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْعَدَمِوَجْهُ التَّكْوِينِ زَهَا وَبَدَا

Wabinūrika min baʿdi al-ʿadami, Wajhu at-takwīni zahā wabadā

And through your light, after non-existence, the face of creation bloomed and appeared.

وَصَلَاةُ اللهِ بِلَا حَصْرِلَكَ تُهْدَى يَا سَامِي الْقَدْرِ

Waṣalātu Allāhi bilā ḥaṣri, Laka tuhdā yā sāmī al-qadri

And the blessings of Allah without limit are offered to you, O you of lofty rank,

وَالْآلِ مَعَ الصَّحْبِ الْغُرِّمَا حَادِي الْعِيسِ نَشَا وَصَدَى

Wa-al-ʾāli maʿa aṣ-ṣaḥbi al-ghurri, Mā ḥādī al-ʿīsi nashā waṣadā

And to the family with the radiant Companions, as long as the camel-driver sings and his voice echoes.
