Ma li-n-Niyaqi Idha Hada Jammaluha
Mā lilnniyāqi idhā ḥadā jammāluhā, Tadaʿu al-ʿanāʾa walā tamallu malālahā
What is it with the camels, when their driver sings, that they forget their toil and never weary?
Watarā lahā fī as-sayri jiddan wāḍiḥan, Shawqan tamuddu yamīnahā washimālahā
You see in them a clear earnestness on the journey, stretching out their right and their left in longing.
Watabāsharat lammā atat badran raʾat, Nūra an-nabiyyi al-hāshimiyyi badā lahā
They rejoiced when they came to Badr and saw the light of the Hashimite Prophet appear before them.
Sing to them, O Sa'd, the name of Muhammad; perhaps they will listen to the one who sings to them.
