Khabbiri Ya Nusimat An Mughram

Khabbirī yā nusayma ʿan mughram, Shajī walhān ʿāshiqi al-ʾanwār

Tell, O little breeze, of one enamoured, grieving, distraught, in love with the lights.

Anti ʿannī shtakī luh ʿan ḥālī, Ṭūla al-layālī sahrān kay arā al-mukhtār

Complain to him for me of my state: all night long I lie awake, longing to see the Chosen One.

Man yalumnī fī gharāmī ṭālamā ʿāshiq jamālak, Kun shafīʿī yā tihāmī jud taʿaṭṭaf binawālak

Who would blame me in my passion, as long as I love your beauty? Be my intercessor, O man of Tihama; be generous and kind with your gifts.

Yā muḥammad yā mumajjad yā muʾayyad bi-ash-shafāʿa, Hā anā ʿinda bābik artajī al-ʾanẓār

O Muhammad, O glorified one, O one supported with intercession, here I am at your door, hoping for your gaze.
