Fi Laylati al-Quds

Yā rabbi ṣalli ʿalā ar-rāqī ilā ar-rutabi, Fī laylati as-sabʿi wa-al-ʿishrīna min rajabi

O Lord, bless the one who rose to the ranks on the night of the twenty-seventh of Rajab.

Fī laylati al-qudsi amma ar-rusula sayyidunā, Ṭaha al-ḥabiybu imāmu al-ʿujmi wa-al-ʿarabi

On the night of Jerusalem our master led the messengers in prayer, Taha the beloved, imam of non-Arabs and Arabs.

ʿalā ʿalā as-sabʿi nājā Allāha khāliqahu, Fiy rutbatin qad ʿalat ḥaqqaan ʿalā ar-rutabi

He rose above the seven heavens and conversed with Allah, his Creator, in a rank that truly rose above all ranks.

Min dūnihi ar-rusulu wa-al-ʾamlāku ajmaʿuhum, Liqābi qawsayni aw adnā ṣṭufī waḥubī

Below him were the messengers and all the angels; at two bows' length or nearer he was chosen and favoured.

Yā rabbi waffir ʿaṭānā hab lanā ḥikamaan, Walā tukhayyib rajāʾanā lildduʿaʾā stajibi

O Lord, make our gifts abundant, grant us wisdom, do not disappoint our hope; answer our prayer.

Wajmaʿ waʾallif qulūba al-muslimīna ʿalā, Mā tartaḍīhi wanaffis sāʾira al-kurabi

Gather and unite the hearts of the Muslims on what pleases You, and relieve all distress.

Yā rabbi wanẓur ilaynā hab lanā farajaan, Wajʿal lanā makhrajaan min ayyi mā naṣabi

O Lord, look upon us, grant us relief, and make for us a way out of every hardship.

Bārik lanā fī al-ladhī aʿṭaytahu watawallanā, Waʿāfi wasallimnā mina al-ʿaṭabi

Bless us in what You have given, take charge of us, grant us well-being, and keep us safe from ruin.
