بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ عَلَامَةْ خَاتَمُ الرُّسْلِ الكِرَامِ

بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ عَلَامَهْخَاتَمُ الرُّسْلِ الكِرَامْ

Bayna katifayhi ʿalāmah, Khātamu ar-rusli al-kirām

Between his shoulders is a mark, the seal of the noble messengers.

أَشْرَقَ البَدْرُ عَلَيْنَاوَاخْتَفَى بَدْرُ التَّمَامْ

Ashraqa al-badru ʿalaynā, Wakhtafā badru at-tamām

The full moon has risen over us, and the full moon of the sky has hidden.

مِثْلَ حُسْنِكْ مَا رَأَيْنَافِي العِرَاقَيْنِ وَالشَّامْ

Mithla ḥusnik mā raʾaynā, Fī al-ʿirāqayni wa-ash-shām

We have never seen beauty like yours in the two Iraqs or in Syria.

يَا حَبِيبِي يَا مُحَمَّدْيَا عَرُوسَ الخَافِقَيْنِ

Yā ḥabībī yā muḥammad, Yā ʿarūsa al-khāfiqayni

O my beloved, O Muhammad, O bridegroom of East and West,

يَا مُؤَيَّدْ يَا مُمَجَّدْيَا إِمَامَ القِبْلَتَيْنِ

Yā muʾayyad yā mumajjad, Yā imāma al-qiblatayni

O you supported, O you glorified, O imam of the two qiblas,

مَنْ رَأَى وَجْهَكَ يَسْعَدْيَا كَرِيمَ الوَالِدَيْنِ

Man raʾā wajhaka yasʿad, Yā karīma al-wālidayni

Whoever sees your face is happy, O you of noble parents.

حَوْضُكَ الصَّافِي المُبَرَّدْوِرْدُنَا يَوْمَ الزِّحَامْ

Ḥawḍuka aṣ-ṣāfī al-mubarrad, Wirdunā yawma az-ziḥām

Your pure, cool Basin is our watering place on the Day of the Throng.

رَبِّي فَاجْعَلْ مُجْتَمَعْنَاغَايَتُهْ حُسْنُ الخِتَامْ

Rabbī fajʿal mujtamaʿnā, Ghāyatuh ḥusnu al-khitām

My Lord, make our gathering's end a good seal,

وَأَعْطِنَا مَا قَدْ سَأَلْنَامِنْ عَطَايَاكَ الجِسَامْ

Waʾaʿṭinā mā qad saʾalnā, Min ʿaṭāyāka al-jisām

And give us what we have asked of Your mighty gifts,

وَأَكْرِمِ الأَرْوَاحَ مِنَّابِلِقَا خَيْرِ الأَنَامْ

Waʾakrimi al-ʾarwāḥa minnā, Biliqā khayri al-ʾanām

And honour our spirits with meeting the best of mankind,

وَأَبْلِغِ المُخْتَارَ عَنَّامِنْ صَلَاةٍ وَسَلَامْ

Waʾablighi al-mukhtāra ʿannā, Min ṣalātin wasalām

And convey to the Chosen One from us blessings and peace.
